Job Descriptions: 

Home child care providers care for children on an ongoing or short-term basis. They care for the well-being and physical and social development of children, assist parents with child care and may assist with household duties. They provide care primarily in their own homes or in the children's homes, where they may also reside. .

Job Responsibilities:

Caring and supervising older toddler while also aiding mother with a newborn. This will involve changing diapers, bathing, feeding meals/snacks, preparing formula and washing bottles. May need to drop toddler to playtime activities/preschool on certain days. Will need to assist older child with dressing, getting ready for preschool, having lunch ready. Will take part in potty training and teaching manners. Will aid in the development of children: doing arts and crafts or helping children discover fun and new hobbies, taking children to the park, or assisting with play dates. If a child is sick and cannot attend school, caregiver will need to look after child. Housekeeping duties will include doing household laundry weekly (wash, fold, organize), cleaning bedrooms (making beds, dusting, organizing, vacuuming), cleaning and maintaining kitchen (washing dishes or emptying dishwasher), cleaning bathroom on a weekly basis, sweeping and mopping floors, sometimes may need to prepare and cook meals for entire family, emptying garbage and organic waste. Caring and supervising older toddler while also aiding mother with a newborn. Education

Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Healthcare (asset but not a requirement)

Experience

Minimum 2 years
